🎃 Treacle Treat!
We are starting the spooky season with a real treat as, after a whole year of waiting for his forever home, Sid (image 1) has finally moved in with his new owner John.
John lives all the way up in Scotland, making Sid the Woodgreen pet who has travelled the farthest to find his new home this year. He is settling in beautifully, yowling happily among the autumn leaves and clearly enjoying his new surroundings.
Now it is time to meet our new sponsor cat, Treacle!
Treacle (image 2) is a fourteen year old Domestic Longhair and she is every bit as sweet as her name suggests. She came to Woodgreen when her previous owner became too unwell to care for her. The dedicated team at Woodgreen helped her through treatment for hyperthyroidism, including successful surgery to remove her thyroid gland, and she has been thriving ever since.
These days, Treacle is enjoying a comfortable life in a loving foster home with George, who has quickly learned that her polite but persistent requests for affection are impossible to ignore. She is happily soaking up all the love and head scratches she can get while Woodgreen continues the search for her perfect forever home.
But do not be fooled by her sugary name. Treacle might be a treat to her humans, but she has been known to play a few tricks on unsuspecting garden visitors. 👻🐾
