Raising the Bar (and the Broom): Continuing Our Commitment to the Real Living Wage
Doing business the right way - with care, respect and pride.

At ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Mid Anglia & Norfolk, we do more than clean buildings. We care for the people inside them, and that starts with our own team.
This week, the Living Wage Foundation announced the new Real Living Wage rates for 2025–26, and we are proud to continue our long-standing commitment to paying it.
We have always paid our employees the Real Living Wage because we believe that work should reward life, not just fill it. This announcement simply reaffirms the values that have guided us for years.
So What Has Been Announced?
The new Real Living Wage rates have now been confirmed:
💷
£13.45 per hour across the UK
💷
£14.80 per hour in London
Employers have until May 2026 to implement the new rates, but we will be reviewing and adjusting pay promptly to ensure our team continues to be fairly rewarded.
This is not a change of direction for us, but a continuation of our commitment to fair pay.
Why This Matters
The Real Living Wage is independently calculated to reflect the true cost of living, not just the legal minimum. It takes into account essentials such as rent, energy bills and everyday costs to ensure that employees can afford a decent standard of life.
At ServiceMaster, we believe this approach is the right one. Paying fairly helps our people feel valued and secure, and that directly translates into the quality of the service we deliver to our clients every day.
Fair pay is not just good ethics. It is good business. A motivated, respected and fairly paid workforce is the foundation of everything we do.
What This Means for Our Team
As we always have, we will continue to pay the Real Living Wage and review our rates in line with the new figures.
We are proud to be part of the Real Living Wage movement and will ensure our payroll and contracts reflect the updated rate promptly and transparently.
This is one part of our wider commitment to building a workplace where people are respected, supported and appreciated for the vital work they do.
The Bottom Line
At ServiceMaster, we believe in fair pay for a fair day’s work. This is not a marketing slogan; it is a reflection of our values.
We are proud to have led the way in paying the Real Living Wage and will continue to do so as the new rates take effect. Because when people feel valued, they take pride in what they do. And that pride is at the heart of every clean, every visit and every client relationship we maintain.
Here’s to fair pay, stronger teams and a cleaner, brighter future for all.
